After it was determined that sales was the biggest priority earlier in the week, I zoomed in. I turned off my big picture brain and flipped on my detail-oriented brain to focus on getting out proposals and documenting the sales process.
Today I stepped back a bit. I ran a Triathlon with some old friends and painted a side-job for money.
Taking a day to not focus on working within the business has a way of snapping your perspective back to the big picture. It was nice to regain that big picture view and recalibrate the vision before another week.
When everything is changing so quickly, the ship will redirect its course many times before stabilizing.
There is a crucial balance to strike between planning and executing.
